CD Poker Review

Operated by Crown Solution Gaming, Ltd. in Antigua, CD Poker (aka Club Dice Poker) is one of the nicest poker rooms I've visited in a long time. Part of the iPoker Network along with Noble Poker and others.

The games here are run by PlayTech Cyprus, a software package that, every time I play, I only love more and more. Both entertaining and authentic, the playability and functionality are flawless, and the graphics and sound are superb. They know how to keep players happy with a wide range of promotions and bonuses, freerolls and satellites. Their security and support teams are cream of the crop. Not all is perfect at Club Dice, however. For example, while it comes with some interesting extra bonus games, it seems to be at the expense of 7-Card Stud.

And the site's small size, despite membership in a diverse network, makes for occasional waits and empty tables.

Single and multi-table tournaments with buy-ins from $10 to $300

Average 500 players online at once, 1000 at peak times
Lower traffic in off-peak hours
Lower volume at higher stakes
Higher traffic in tournaments than ring games
Should have more as there are 7 "skins" in the iPoker Network, all sharing a player base

On the plus side, CD Poker's relatively small traffic means there's room to win (not too many sharks)
For the most part, you'll have hardly any trouble finding a seat, though maybe not always at the precise stakes you were seeking, particular at higher stakes.
There's almost always action and a seat at smaller stakes.
Low player volume at high stakes means you're playing the same people over and over
Tournaments usually fill up pretty fast.
Still, there is the occasional empty ring game table.
