Tiger Gaming Review

Tiger Gaming seems to be the non-poker players' poker site. They make no bones about it either - boasting "As Seen On TV" on their homepage. Tiger Gaming offers a large assortment of card games (do they all qualify as "poker"?) that interests a large group of diverse players: many games I doubt a diehard poker player would bother with.

Tiger Gaming is to a poker room what I imagine a Beverly Hills sushi bar might be like to a native Japanese person. Tiger Gaming clearly aims to rope in those curious non-gamblers on the newly glamorized casino fringes, those who've caught an episode or two of Celebrity Poker Showdown with a favorite star at the table, or those who felt their Vegas vacation was far too brief.

They have an incredible collection of invaluable educational pages teaching players step-by-step how to register for their site, download the software, and play every game and tournament they offer: sort of like a "Poker for Dummies". Unfortunately they fall short of their user-friendly prime objective in more than one way. Tournament registration is a bit unnecessarily overcomplicated, and there are no table stats listed in the lobby (did they think such sophisticated information would confuse their newbie demographic?).

Still, Tiger Gaming is the only site I've seen where a player can enter any real money tournament with play money. And you can't beat that!
